Scope of Submissions

ICIEDI 2027 welcomes the submission of high-quality, original research papers that contribute to advancing knowledge and practice across the conference themes.

The conference seeks scholarly work that demonstrates originality, scientific rigour, methodological soundness, and clear contributions to theory, practice, policy, innovation, and sustainable development. Submissions may present conceptual, empirical, methodological, interdisciplinary, or applied research relevant to the conference tracks.

Manuscript Requirements

• All manuscripts must be written in English and prepared in accordance with the official ICIEDI 2027 Author Guidelines and formatting template.
• Manuscripts should normally not exceed 5,000 words or approximately 12 pages, including figures, tables, appendices, and references.
• The manuscript similarity index should not exceed 15%, excluding references, quotations, and properly cited material.
• Authors are strongly encouraged to provide complete references, including DOIs, to facilitate accurate attribution, indexing, and citation.
• Papers must be original work — not previously published, accepted for publication, or simultaneously submitted elsewhere during the review process.
• All manuscripts must be submitted in anonymized form: remove names, affiliations, acknowledgements, funding information, and other identifying details.

Peer Review Process

• Each submission undergoes an initial editorial assessment verifying compliance with scope, formatting, originality, ethical standards, and anonymization. Non-compliant manuscripts may be returned for correction or declined before external review.
• Every manuscript passing screening undergoes double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers with recognised expertise. Where recommendations differ substantially, an additional reviewer or Associate Editor may be appointed.
• The complete review cycle normally spans a minimum of five weeks. All submissions are evaluated on the full manuscript — abstract-only or extended abstract submissions are not considered.
• The conference views peer review as a collaborative scholarly process that advances knowledge, rather than solely a gatekeeping mechanism.
• Manuscripts are evaluated on originality, scientific significance, methodological rigour, technical quality, relevance to the theme and track, quality of literature review, validity of data analysis, practical or societal impact, clarity, and overall contribution. Reviewers also consider ethical, sustainability, and responsible innovation aspects.
• The anticipated acceptance rate is approximately 40%. All editorial decisions are determined exclusively by scientific quality, originality, and relevance — never by predetermined quotas.
• Following review, manuscripts receive one of four decisions: Accept, Accept with Minor Revisions, Major Revisions Required, or Reject.
• Authors requiring revision are normally given seven days to submit a revised manuscript with a detailed Point-by-Point Response Letter. All modifications should be clearly highlighted.
• Revised manuscripts are normally returned to the original reviewers. Reviewers are generally allocated up to ten days per review cycle.
• The Conference Scientific Committee monitors quality, consistency, and timeliness throughout. The final publication decision rests with the Committee.

Conference Presentation

Upon acceptance, at least one registered author must present the paper during the conference.

Camera-Ready Papers

Authors of accepted papers must prepare their camera-ready manuscripts in accordance with the publisher's formatting requirements and submit all required publication documents by the specified deadline.

The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that the final manuscript has been reviewed and approved by all co-authors before submission. Changes to authorship, author order, affiliations, or contact information after submission of the camera-ready paper will only be considered under exceptional circumstances and with the approval of the Conference Scientific Committee.
